Dharamshala holds an international cricket stadium in Himachal Pradesh and proceeding towards Chamba, you are going to enjoy the scenic beauty under mighty Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges.
Begin your journey to Manali today, you will be awestruck by the change in landscapes from plain lands to the hilly ones. Go through the beautiful valleys of the state to enter the Manali town which is often referred to as the ‘Valley of Gods’. Check-in to your hotel, you may take a short walk near your hotel to relieve the travelling exhaustion. Later come back to your hotel to dine and have a warm sleep.
Get ready for the local sightseeing tour of Manali. Today you will visit nearby locations which are some of the most visited places in the town. You will start with Hadimba Devi. Then you will visit Manu Temple which is another ancient temple in Manali.You will also visit Vashisht village which has a temple dedicated to Rishi Vashisht, Lord Shiva and Lord Rama. Adjoining the temple there is also a hot sulphuric water bath which is said to have great healing powers, which can cure many skin diseases and body pain. Afterwards, visit Manali mall road if you want to do shopping. Visit Museum of Art and Culture in Manali to seek some history of the town. Then, come to the hotel for a heavenly dinner and a nice cosy bed to sleep.
Wake up to cool weather and feel the chill in the temperature around you and have a pleasant breakfast prior to heading towards your next location. You will be going to Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel, Rohtang pass (optional) for another outstanding excursion in Manali. In Solang, you may indulge in quad biking, zorbing, paragliding etc.(At your own expense) Afterwards head to Atal Tunnel, it is a 9.2 km long single tube tunnel at the height of 10000 ft. Or you can en route towards Rohtang Pass which is at the altitude of +13000 ft. and connects Kullu with Lahaul.After that, reach back to the hotel and have a delicious dinner and some gossip as this will be your last day of the tour in Manali.
Please Note: Since NGT (Nation Green Tribunal) is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang Pass per day, the Rohtang Pass sightseeing will be subject to availability of the permit available on the spot. Also the cab services (including permission charges) will Cost extra depending on the vehicle opted on sharing basis/ individual basis by the customer. Rohtang pass is remained closed form 15th November to 15th April and on every Tuesday.
Get ready for a long travel journey post a savoring breakfast. Enroute Dharamshala you will be going through Kullu,Bhuntar,Bir, Baijnath and Palampur. On reaching Dharamshala, you might roam outside on your own for a short walk to the market or relax after an elongated trip. After a tasty dinner you can sleep in your comfortable and cosy bedding.
After a yummy breakfast, you will be heading towards Khajjiar,Chamba from Dharamshala. Experience the beauty of Dhauladhar mountain range and a subtle change in the landscape as you further proceed towards Khajjiar. Khajjiar is also known as Mini Switzerland of India. It is a famous tourist destination covered with lush green deodar trees. The place is known to have derived its name from Khajji Nag the serpent god and the temple was built here around 10th century. Visit Lord Shiva statue in Khajjiar and you may also visit Kalatop which is just 4km away. Check-in to your hotel, enjoy tasty food and have a comfortable sleep.
Wake up to a mesmerizing landscape outside your window, post breakfast you will be heading towards Dalhousie which is one of the best places to visit in Chamba, this place derived its name from Lord Dalhousie who was Governor General of India. It is one the most visited hill stations of Himachal Pradesh.You will be visiting DainKund peak which offers a mesmerizing and a breathtaking view of the Dhauladhar mountain range. Heading further towards Chamba town you may visit Chaugan Ground, levelled back in 1890 and became a cricket ground for the British. You will also visit the local Chamba market and you can buy ‘Chukh’ a spicy chilli sauce which is delicious and is used in Chambyali cuisine. Afterwards, head back to the hotel and enjoy a tasty meal before a comfy sleep.
