Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Delhi | Drive from Delhi to Rishikesh (Approx 07 Hrs Drive by Road)

On your arrival in Delhi, leave for Rishikesh, your first point of the Rishikesh Mussoorie trip. Enjoy a scenic drive, where you leave the city behind and make for the mountains of the Himalayas.
Rishikesh, set in the foothills of the Himalayas on the banks of River Ganga in Uttarakhand is a beautiful city that is both a spiritual and an adventure hub. Known as the Yoga capital of the world, Rishikesh offers diverse spiritual experiences. It is also of immense religious importance as it also the gateway to the sacred pilgrimage for Hindus- the Char Dham Yatra (comprising Gangotri, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Kedarnath). The adventure activities offer an incomparable thrill as the proximity of the mountains and swift flowing Ganga River give ample opportunity of testing your limits. If spirituality and adventure both do not excite, then Rishikesh offers the ultimate getaway in nature’s lap, away from the daily hustle and bustle of the overcrowded cities.
Upon your arrival at Rishikesh, get assisted with check in to the hotel. Relax for the day. If time and energy permits, walk to Triveni Ghat. The revered river ghat in Rishikesh is also a holy bathing spot in the Ganges River. The belief that a dip in the River Ganga in Triveni Ghat purifies the sins of a lifetime brings visitors from all over the world to Rishikesh. At sunset, enjoy the rituals of the Ganga Aarti on the Triveni Ghat.
Get back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2Rishikesh Sightseeing

Start the day with breakfast, after which you will proceed to enjoy local Sightseeing of Rishikesh.
Firstly, stop is the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. Located around 35 km from Rishikesh, set at an elevation of 1330 meter, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one among the most revered temples of Lord Shiva in the country. According to a legend, the temple marks the place where the Lord Shiva consumed poison which came out of Samudra, because of which his throat turned blue which gave the Lord the name of Neelkanth. Seek blessings and then leave for the next attraction.
Next, pay a visit to Bharat Mandir. Founded by Adiguru Shankaracharya in 12th century, the shrine houses Lord Vishnu carved out of a single piece of Saligram, while the inner canopy of the temple contains the sacred Shree Yanthra.
Lastly, get to Shivpuri. The beautiful place on the river bank is well-known for offering spectacular views and popular for activities like river rafting and camping and high on adventure like bungee jumping.
After a well-spent day sightseeing and trying adventure sports, get back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3Drive from Rishikesh to Mussoorie

In the morning after breakfast, pack your bags and check out from the hotel. Get on the road to start your drive to and leave for your next destination, Mussoorie. The almost 3 hours’ drive is a scenic ride where you slowly make way to the misty mountains.
Nestled at the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas at an elevation of 1880 meter, Mussoorie offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Shivalik ranges. Offering a rejuvenating holiday with family or even romantic honeymoon, Mussoorie offers a break from the cities and allows to truly immerse in the nature’s lap and savor the refreshening experiences.
On arrival in Mussoorie, check-in at the hotel. You can freshen up and choose to stroll around the hill town, especially the Mall Road enjoying the serenity and fresh air of the mountains.

Day 4Sightseeing in Mussoorie

Wake up to the soft breeze of the mountains. Savor some hot breakfast and get ready for the day. Start the day of sightseeing, by visiting the popular tourist attractions of Mussoorie. Savor the pleasant weather while enjoying the sights. Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie that offers splendid views as does the Gun Hill, the second highest viewpoint in Mussoorie that offers a panoramic view of the Himalayas in its snowcapped glory. The Municipal Gardens also known as Botanical Gardens of Mussoorie has an artificially created lake, which is a perfect picnic spot with boating facilities. Camel’s Back Road offers a pleasing view of the sunset and a life-like resemblance of a sitting camel.
The most amazing tourist attraction in Mussoorie is the Kempty Falls. 15 kms from Mussoorie on the Yamunotri Road, the beautiful waterfall is nestled in the nature’s lap offering an amazing experience. Take a dip in the chilled water of the fall and enjoy some great time playing in the pool.
Later, get back to Mussoorie. Explore the colonial charms of the hill town. Take a look at the British era buildings and shop for some souvenirs from the market.
After an enjoyable day, return to the hotel and have a comfortable night stay at the hotel.

Day 5Drive from Mussoorie to Delhi

The 5 mesmerizing days in Uttarakhand with the Rishikesh Mussoorie tour ends today. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, pack up your bags and check-out from the hotel. Get back on the road to start drive towards Delhi, from where you can leave for your next destination.
